i love a good illustrated map. There are similar ones to this of Scotland and other european nations that make reference to the national pride or cultural symbols.

Me: Well, it may seem that way, but it was quite involved. The good news is it is set up now and you can manage it with the front end and you will never need to set it up again.

Client: I took a web design class once. I’m positive this would only take me 1 or 2 hours and I’m not even an expert.

muskoxen in the Alaskan arctic. this piece is for “I am an Arctist”, a collection of artworks to raise awareness of petroleum and its impact on the arctic ecosystem. I threw a piece up just before posting this one, if you caught it, that was missing a vital piece of the message: the pipeline. Then I did a facepalm and realized what the piece was missing, both conceptually and compositionally. DUH. And I did so many sketches, but sometimes the thing just doesn’t come to me until the very last, when it seems finished.
